Standard Terms and Conditions of Business Quotations • Quotations are based on itineraries and requirements specified by the customer. Upon receipt of the quotation, any changes requested by the customer which incur additional costs will be charged to the customer. • Prices are subject to change in the event of a change in the price of fuel or in the rate of VAT or the entrances, fees and/or conservation levies of any given reserve where transfers are undertaken to. This includes if there are an increase or decrease in the number of passengers quoted for or on. • Quotations are quoted in SA Rand and are only valid as stated on the quotation. • Prices for services of sub-contractors may vary and such changes will be communicated to the customer in writing at time of confirmation • Acceptance of the quotation (within 15 days of quoting) will be regarded as acceptance of Safaris direct terms and conditions of business, thereafter new quotations will be required.
Reservations and Deposits • Normal bookings 10% deposit of the total quoted price is required to confirm a reservation 25% deposit is required if services are to be rendered within 31 – 90 days 100% payment is required if services are to be rendered within 30 day • Block bookings (four or more vehicles required for the same itinerary) 25% deposit of the total quoted price is required to confirm a reservation 50% deposit is required if services are to be rendered within 90 days 100% payment is required if services are to be rendered within 30 days
Cancellations • Cancellations shall only be valid if received in writing • Normal bookings Cancellation 15 days and more - no charges Cancellation between 14 and 08 days - 25% Cancellation between 07 and 04 days - 50% Cancellation between 03 and 01 days - 75% Cancellation within 24 hours of service - 100% No notice of cancellation – 100% cancellation fees will apply
Payment • Full payment for services is required prior to departure • Although credit facilities may be granted to customers, a deposit for block bookings will still be applicable • Entrances and Kruger National Park Conservation Levies (KNPCL hereafter) to be paid directly by clients, or if alternatively Safaris direct (Pty) Ltd needs to pay them on the clients behalf then said entrances or KNPCL need to be paid to Safaris direct (Pty) Ltd well in advance of the actual service, minimum 7 days, failure to do so will automatically be surcharged at 8% of the total entrances and or KNPCL amount. • The pre-booking fee for any group made on behalf of any client/guest to ensure entrance into Kruger National Park will automatically be billed back to the guest/clients account. This booking and booking fee is especially important during South African long weekends and holidays.
Passenger Luggage and Personal Effects • Personal belongings and luggage are carried at the owner’s risk. Safaris direct or any of its sub charter contractors accepts no liability for loss or damage under any circumstances
• Passengers shall, under no circumstances, carry with them on the vehicle any weapons, explosives or items which in the sole opinion of Safaris direct or any of its sub charter contractors believes to be dangerous or hazardous, or likely to cause offence to other passengers or their property.
Exclusion or Liability • Safaris direct shall not be liable in any way for partial or total failure to perform the contract by reason of any mechanical or other defects, breakdown, accident or any other cause including any strike or lockout, fire or act of God, or for any claims, damages or expenses arising out of defects or failure as fore said, or any delays in starting, transit, arrival or return of any vehicle.
Company Sub-Contracts • Safaris direct reserves the right to sub-contract in case of an emergency and when this right is exercised, the substitute vehicle will, as far as circumstances permit, compare equally with Safaris direct vehicles and standards. If such vehicle is not acquired, it remains the customer’s right to obtain a vehicle to his own standard and cost. In the event of Safaris direct subcontracting a vehicle, it is agreed that the substituted vehicle operator shall act as an independent contractor, not subject to the control of Safaris direct. It shall be deemed that the customer and the subcontracted vehicle operator entered into a contract of hire and that the customer indemnifies Safaris direct against any claim for damage or otherwise resulting from the driving of the substituted vehicle.
General • Any agreement of which these Terms and Conditions of Business form part of, shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. • Safaris direct cannot be held responsible for any flight delays, missed flights, accommodation or any costs due to circumstances beyond our control. • SAFARIS DIRECT DOES NOT RECOMMEND ANY DRIVING AFTER SUNSET OR BEFORE SUNRISE, NEITHER FOR PASSENGERS NOR DRIVERS NOR GUIDES. ALL TRANSFERS TO TAKE PLACE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. THIS IS SPECIFICALLY THE CASE WHEN TRAVELLING NORTH OF HAZYVIEW! THIS IS DUE TO THE MANY POSSIBLE DISRUPTIONS AND ISSUES ON THE ROADS AT NIGHT • Transfers – Private transfers are deemed as such and are charged on a per vehicle basis. Transfers booked on “per person” rate are NOT private, and SAFARIS DIRECT has the right to put additional passengers travelling on the same or similar routes ON ANY vehicle booked in this way. • All pre-booked services for groups will be done on a vehicle basis, whereas short notice bookings on a per person rate. • All entrances are excluded • Any bookings made on client’s behalf with SANParks, are subject to the SANParks prepayment, cancellation policies as well as terms and conditions

Customer Privacy policy

Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.
Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for Safaris Direct Pty Ltd via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Safaris Direct Pty Ltd separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Responsibility
Safaris Direct Pty Ltd takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Safaris Direct Pty Ltd chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
Variation
Safaris Direct Pty Ltd may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
